After a very rudimentary cleanup job, it made perfect sense to stumble to the bed and collapse into it together.

Beck had never imagined that Micah Rose would be so touchy-feely, so goddamn cuddly, but he was going to soak up every bit of it he could.

“I think,” Micah said sleepily, not bothering to turn his head to meet Beck’s eyes, his cheek currently pressed to Beck’s pectoral muscle, “you were right.”

“Yeah?” Beck smiled again. He couldn’t help it.

“Don’t rub it in or anything,” Micah grumbled.

“Oh, I’ll rub it—”

Micah made a sleepy outraged sound.

“You love it,” Beck retorted lightly.

“I do.” Micah shifted, and his gaze was soft as it met Beck’s. “But yeah, we didn’t have sex. I wouldn’t have ever forgotten that.”

It was hard not to preen under the inherent praise in that statement.

He’d been pretty sure it was Micah’s first time with a guy, and he’d wanted so badly to make it good. To make it memorable.

“Me either,” Beck agreed. He hesitated. If he was wrong, he didn’t want Micah to think he was mad he’d found someone else to experiment with. “So there wasn’t anyone in Miami?”

Micah’s stare was unnerving—even though Beck knew how much he cared for the guy. How prepared he was to be married to him for the rest of their lives. “How could I have found someone else?” he asked.

Beck thought that must be a rhetorical question.

“It was always going to be you or no one,” Micah continued with a wry twist of his lips. “You were the one I wanted, and I wasn’t ready to settle. I guess I hadn’t given up on us yet, even though I probably should’ve.”

Beck’s arm tightened around Micah before he could even help it. “No, you shouldn’t have. We talked about this.”

“Yeah.” Micah re-settled on his chest. He sounded more at peace now. Maybe he’d eventually be able to forgive himself. Beck hoped so, because Beck had forgiven him.

“You know,” Beck said after a few minutes of lazy silence, “I’m gonna have to call my mom and tell her about this.”

“Hmmm,” Micah agreed.

“You tell yours yet?” Beck asked.

“She knows,” Micah said after a long moment of silence.

The way he’d phrased it was weird, but before Beck could ask, Micah raised his head and after shifting, leaned in and kissed him again.

Beck groaned in the back of his throat. “Yeah?” he asked, when Micah pulled back an inch.

It was undeniable that his cock was already stirring, his blood beginning to heat. He’d wanted Micah Rose for way too long to not fully enjoy himself once he was in his bed.

“God, yes, please,” Micah said in a breathless voice.

Beck was just about to put his mouth on his neck, practically already tasting the curve of it under his tongue, and his hand on Micah’s cock, when his phone rang.

No, it blared.

“Shit,” Beck said, falling back against the pillows.

“What is it?”

“There’s only a few people who are set up in my phone to ring through, even though it’s on silent.” He swallowed hard.
